Divorces

So many married couples are ending up in divorces these days...It's really sad to hear =(

The latest casualty is the beautiful Liz Hurley and husband Arun Nayar.

They were once married in a lavish ceremony in India. And now, they're separated! It seems they have been living apart for quite some time already.

Next is Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C Hall are filing for divorce

The Dexter co-stars only got married less than 2 years. Now, it'll be awkward acting alongside each other in Dexter, right? Especially when they are playing brother and sisters in the show XD

Well, moving on to unmarried couples, if rumours are to be true, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are heading for splitsville =((

But they look so cute together!!! They have been dating for around 5 years I think. I hope it's not true.

And here we are now in Malaysia, having a 14 years old girl going to get married. I mean if adults with mature thinking are all ending up in divorces, what makes her think she's ready for marriage??

Besides, if she were to get pregnant, what about her studies? Wouldn't it get disrupted? Don't get me wrong, I'm not against anyone getting married at a young age, because some do actually ended up being happy, but all I'm saying is that at 14, that is definitely not the age to get married.

When we're all 14, we were still crushing on some cute guy/girl, worrying about exams, having fun and being playful and not thinking about getting married, how to pay the bills or worrying about starting a family XD

But anyway, I hope she finds happiness in marriage!

On a nicer note, Nicole Richie just got married to the father of her two kids, Joel Madden!

Let's hope this marriage will last!! Because somewhere out there, I still have hopes for happy endings =))

Visions of ________ Dancing In My Head

A 26th birthday dress!

This one is currently my favorite. I'm not sure how I feel about this since it was something "designed" (and I use that term loosely) by the Kardashians.

Pros- It's hot pink! It's longer than my usual dresses and different than every other birthday dress I've had.

Cons- It's a Kardashians dress.

Sugar cookies!

Specifically these evil Otis Spunkmeyer cookies that my roommate has brought into the apartment! They're delicious!

Poppin Bottles!!!

This past Friday, I finally experienced the high life! Haha. Kidding but I did pop a couple bottles while I was out and I must say champagne at the bar sure is nice. I loved sipping on it all night instead of mixed drinks.

Kona, Kona, Kona!!!!!

The place where all my happy hour dreams come true! All other happy hours should learn from Kona! Their reverse happy hour is like the happiest place on earth! (If you haven't noticed, I have a flare for the dramatic! :))

The odd fact that Rachel Zoe doesn't even look a little bit preggers"

Real Housewives of Atlanta episode from last night!"

Last night's episode was a mess! A hot mess of awesomeness! My favorite quote from the night was Phaedra saying "What goes on in my uterus is my business. When I borrow your vagina then you can ask questions!" BAHAAHAH epic!

SXSW, SXSW, SXSW

It's 3 months away but a week of music, alcohol, and good friends in Awesome, TX (AKA Austin) sounds lovely!

MLS vs. MFA

This is the biggest decision of my life so far! I kind of like that it's a decision about a graduate program and has nothing to do with guys, marriage, babies etc... Still the idea is daunting. In the end I could teach with either degree but I think the MFA would make me happier but it's definitely not guaranteed work. We shall see.

The Royal Family

                                                     Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles

Wasn't is a surprise to hear that Prince Charles and his wife's car was splattered with paint a few days before?? Especially when it's on The Star's front page!

I mean these are the royal family...I wonder if the same incident were to happen in Malaysia, what would the culprits fate be?? I better not say XD

On the other hand, I'm a big fan of Prince William and Kate Middleton. They both exude elegance, romance and just good vibe =)

                                                              A match made in heaven!

With their upcoming nuptials next year, it sparked a lot of buzz lately. She would look really beautiful in a wedding gown! Can't wait to see their wedding pictures!!

Weekend Roundup Yall!!

So this weekend was pretty eventful, especially considering I had hopes & dreams of doing NOTHING!! Friday night I went out to for reverse happy hour and it was amazing!! If you have a Kona in your area you should really grab a couple of friends and take part in it. So much food and drinks that are half price. It's amazing! A couple of friends and I went and basically ordered everything off the food menu, don't judge us, and pigged out!! For some reason that day I was really craving champagne so we decided to pop a couple bottles too. It's was pretty amusing because the waitress was all "what's the special occasion?" I just looked at her and replied "nothing, I felt like some champagne!" I love nights like that. After Kona I went out to meet up with a couple of friends and that was even more fun! I must say while out Friday night I decided to throw on a big, felt, black, floppy hat and it was a hit!

It was funny because while a few girls gave me compliments the boys seemed to be the ones that really appreciated the hat. Love it!

Saturday I pretty much lounged around all day and watched a marathon of The Walking Dead with my roommate while trying to decided if we should go out. A couple of friends came into town so we decided to go to Ghost Bar, inside the W hotel, in Dallas. None of us had ever been and it was interesting to say the least. A very random atmosphere and bar but it was fun. We actually got escorted in by the hotel manager and the bouncer wanted to know why we were cutting the line. The manager just looked at him and said "they don't have a table but look at them, pretty, well dressed girls, come on!" It was a nice ego boost. After we left the bar we went to get food and somehow ended up in Highland village where all the fancy stores are located. I had never seen the new Christian Louboutin store so I made the driver stop so I could take a pic!

All in all it was pretty fun times! Ending the weekend with a trip to see Burlesque and some Five Guys Burgers & Fries! I just discovered there's one in Dallas so I'm very excited!!! Hope you all had a great weekend! One more week of work for me then Christmas vacation!!! YAY!!!

Just a Quote

When you fall, what are you doing? Asking for help? Waiting for someone to come rescue you? or just quiet resignation? If you do 3 things that you will not go! Try! Believe that you can wake up from falling, you may do so even though it hurts! If you're thinking, just because you fall from running then you cry, what about the people who do not have hands and feet? If they do not wake up, what happened? run over the motor? run over a car? crushed trucks and buses? We never know what will happen 1 hour ahead, even 1 minute more, what we are going to die? what we will be happy? Yes maybe you already know the core. If you fall from any try to get up! Fall into sin, fell from the bicycle, fall due to be fired, because it does not fall to the next grade, try! Believe you can! Although scorned, scolded, believe in yourself, your heart, you can do anything you want. Do not look back, do not bring up bad things that once you do, you can learn from the mistakes you have done so far. Remember "A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new" ~ Albert Einstein ~ Believe me if you can. Learn from the mistakes you've done so far. We never know what will happen next. Be proud of yourself! Believe in yourself! Just Say Y-E-S-I-C-A-N-!

Hiatus

All TV shows starting this week are on the Christmas hiatus break =( Boo-hoo!!

So, what am I going to do now? *laughs* Without my daily dosage of drama, I would feel totally bored XD
Oh well, there's still facebook, classes and more shopping to keep me occupy I guess =p

Anyway, before Gossip Girl goes on hiatus the last episode for this year had the newest song by Nelly- Just a Dream. One thing I like about Gossip Girl is that they always have popular songs being played at the background.

Above is 'Just a Dream'. Since youtube doesn't allow embeding of other videos,
click HERE for Far East Movement's 'Like a G6'
HERE for Jason Derulo's 'Whatcha Say'
and HERE for Lady Gaga's Bad Romance

It is from Gossip Girl that I started liking those songs. I love it when TV shows premiere such songs!! More TV shows should follow suit =)
