2011 People's Choice Awards
Twilight won 4 awards including Kristen Stewart winning fav movie actress...
They missed the red carpet because they just flew in from filming Breaking Dawn
Kristen was fabulous in the gold Reem Acra dress and Taylor was sleek as always and Robert was casual! Three of them make great best friends =))
Moving on to the red carpet before the event, it was a great start of 2011 in the subject of fashion! Everyone were dressed beautifully *smiles*
Both Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, in my opinion are two young artistes who dress impeccably whenever they're on a red carpet. Other young artistes should really learn from their style! I love both dresses and shoes. Only one thing, I think Selena should have tied her hair up while Taylor should have come with straightened hair...
Kaley Cuoco looked like a bride, which is not something bad just that maybe this dress is not suitable for this occasion. Nevertheless, she looked beautiful and the dress is flawless =)
I'm not really a fan of Zac Efron's new hairstyle but luckily he still maintained that sleek style with his suit. He can give Taylor Lautner a run for his money LOL
Katy Perry, as always in her quirky dresses. She looked like a Peacock, probably paying tribute to one of her songs. Because it's Katy, I would say she's gorgeous just like how Lady Gaga could always get away with her outrageous outfits! Anyway, Congrats to Katy for winning two awards!
Biggest shocker of the night was Khloe Kardashian-Odom's new hairstyle. Me loves it! I've always loved red heads. It was a head-turner and she looked gorgeous. It was a right makeover from her boring black hair. The dress was perfect on her as well =)
I hope to see the awards show on television soon. It'll be interesting because it's all about honouring who the fans voted for and most of them are my favourite celebs!
Today's Rant Is Brought To You By The Letter O...
Today, O stands for OVERUSED TERMS!!!!
Lately, it's been bothering the amount of celebrity authors/designers that have been coming out. If you can't sew and/or sketch you really aren't a designer and if you used a ghostwriter for your book you are not an author. It's really that simple. Let us begin the rant with authors since books are close to my heart!

au·thor [aw-ther] Show IPA
–noun
1. a person who writes a novel, poem, essay, etc.; the composer of a literary work, as distinguished from a compiler, translator, editor, or copyist.
2. the literary production or productions of a writer: to find a passage in an author.
3. the maker of anything; creator; originator: the author of a new tax plan.
Let's go ahead and look at that definition and let it soak in to our minds. Notice how none of them include telling someone else your ideas while they write them down. I especially enjoy number 3 because that's how I feel about anything I write. I am the creator/originator of that work. I take pride in that and I feel one should not call themselves an author if that is not the case.
While I don't necessarily mind the use of a ghostwriter there is something about it that at times, rubs me the wrong way. I think my main issue is the rise in 'celebrity' books coming out. Snooki writing (and I use that term loosely) a book was the final straw for me and what inspired this rant! I mean COME ON PEOPLE! If a ghostwriter wrote over 50% of your book then you are not an author my friend. In my opinion if you used one for over 5% of your book you're not an author; to be honest, I kind of feel as if you honestly shouldn't use one at all. I mean it seems very simple to me, if you didn't write the book, you're not an author. I mean this makes sense to people right?!! I just think we should stop throwing around the word author when these people are in fact, not authors! I don't mind celebrities writing books but WRITE THE DAMN BOOK!
I listed a couple of celebrity books above and all of them used ghostwriters. I do think Lauren Conrad wrote a bigger portion of her book than most but she did admit to having help. Hilary Duff's book, while very good, is listed under the ghostwriters name at the public library in my city. That means, my dear Hilary, you had pretty much nothing to do with that book. The only book I'm unsure of is Priceless, I remember hearing she had help with the first book but I'm not sure about this one. Most of these, I'm excluding Paris and Pam's books because I haven't read that nonsense, are good books but I just think credit should be given to the ghostwriter.

I saw this on Twitter this morning and it's so true!! It makes me very sad too.

It was recently brought to my attention that Ralph Lauren can't sew. WTF!!

de·sign·er [dih-zahy-ner]
–noun
1.a person who devises or executes designs, esp. one who creates forms, structures, and patterns, as for works of art or machines.
I mean that is straight to the point. I'm not sure how one can say they are the designer of clothing when they don't sketch or sew! I mean really, how does that work? It's one thing to not be able to sew it's another to not even be able to sketch! What exactly do you do then? Do you go up to the actual designers and say oh I like pink and ruffles so sketch me a dress, then make it, and I'll take all the credit. That makes NO SENSE!! You may have great style(more like a great stylist) but I don't think that qualifies you to call yourself a designer. Above are some pictures from 'celebrities' that have clothing lines or have designed for another fashion company. I use the term 'designed' loosely. In the end a person can call themselves whatever they like but just because I call myself The Queen of Sheeba doesn't mean I am.
*I realize some pics are off but oh well. Sometimes thats just how baseball go!
Colour of 2011
The colour is after a flower..
Honeysuckle flower
Honeysuckle colour is a combination of pink with a lil orange.
Yes, I am crazy over pink. I used to have so many pink stuffs but now most of it are given away to my young cousins haha coz I kinda outgrown it XD I still do love pink but only with minimal amount =p
Only now, the colour of the year is PINK? Why can't it be last year?? At least whenever I wore so much pink stuffs, I wouldn't be laughed at and I could say it was after all, the colour of the year *laughs*
Last year's colour was turquoise. I think I got it all wrong already XD Coz I love turquoise now XD So, last year's colour would be my favourite colour this year and this year's colour was my favourite last year XD
Turquoise; the colour of clear blue water <3

The Tourist
The Tourist has two Hollywood heavyweights! Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp...
I'm sure if you put two unknowns in that movie, it'll bomb coz it's quite a slow pace movie. But since Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp are the ones making the suspense, it did quite well =)
There's a touch of humour in the movie but mostly it's about putting the puzzles together. The twist will only be revealed in the end. The movie was not bad actually and I must say although I'm no fan of Angelina, she's quite a poised lady in this movie.
Watch if you're a fan of those two or you just love suspense and twists in movies!
A Cut Above Academy
I'm sure many of you have heard about A Cut Above saloons; the renowned saloon founded by Winnie Loo. Then A Cut Above Academy was established to train young aspiring stylists.
The A Cut Above Academy in Sunway Pyramid does not only teach students but they welcome customers as well for the students to learn on 'real people'. Thus, the services offered are much much cheaper than the A Cut Above saloons.
So, I decided to do my annual hair treatment in the Academy. After all, it's much cheaper and even cheaper than any 'house' saloons you go to! and services provided are good so might as well give the students some practice =p
Besides, I'm not letting them cut my hair, just going there for treatment only so no harm actually! When I went in, there were actually quite many customers there! Some even let the students cut their hair! I saw this woman's hair getting shorter and shorter by the minute LOL coz the student kept cutting it wrongly and the teacher kept asking him to cut a certain style haha
But anyway, the girl who did my hair was very good. She washed my hair, treated it, washed again and blow dry it straight. She was quite slow but it was good. My hair turned out very nice eventually =)
I do recommend going to the academy for colouring, highlight, perm and treatment. Not only it offers cheaper services but they're quite good. Not too worry much as well since the teacher will be there guiding the students. If you want, you may take the risk of them cutting your hair. I'm sure it'll be fine since there's guidance.
Wash and blow is only RM8, highlight and perm are both Rm45 each and treatment is RM55. The prices are cheap for a renowned name! Make an appointment first!
