Lusting After Chanel...And Fendi, Birkin, Balenciaga etc...

So I read an article on ONTD about how Nicole Richie has 30 vintage Chanel bags that she's gotten from her mother throughout the years! Can we just pause so I can say, JEALOUS!!!! Anyway, I've always loved Nicole's fashion and while looking through a bunch of pictures of her I had on my computer I noticed she almost always has a fabulous bag with her. I thought it would be fun to compile a couple pics of some of my favorite bags she's carried over the years. There are some Birkins, Fendi, Balenciaga, and of course, Chanel, sprinkled throughout this post! There's also one pic of Joel with his awesome Gucci bag. Haha. I think he looks adorable with it. Nicole must be rubbing off on him.

As you all know, I was a serious Maplestory addict when I was Form4!
I spent a lot on the @cash even though I know it is expensive as RM29 per 10 000 Game Cash.

I found a new Maplestory Private Server named BankaiStory.

Laptop

Urgh!! My laptop died on me -.- Damn it!! Luckily, my data are save-able from the hard disk. Thank goodness!!

Well, the upside is that............I can get a NEW laptop!!! YAY!!!

Perhaps I think it's Friendster since the recent Friendster is a bit similar to Facebook. =)

I use Facebook a lot but I do understand how tiring it is to manage a busy site like Facebook.

It's My Birthday Bitch!

That title should be said to the tune of "It's Britney, bitch!"

Today is my birthday and I'm feeling the love from all my friends! My coworkers actually got me cupcakes, pretty colored ink pens, mini snickers (I'm obsessed), and decorated my desk. It was so sweet! I love birthdays, they're a big deal to me because I feel like it's the one day a year that it's OK for everything to be about you! Well who am I kidding, I feel this way all the time but more so on birthdays! Haha.

Anyway, I'm turning 26 and I'm excited about it. I had a quarter life crisis when I turned 24 so I'm over the whole "I'm so old" thing. I'm actually quite excited about 2011. Although, I am a bit worried about all the birds, fish, bees dying but I suppose that's neither here nor there! Either way, I'm excited for the weekend and celebrating my birthday!! Hope everyone has a good weekend!

The price of beauty

Do you watch Jessica Simpson's The Price of Beauty? Well, I came across this show on MTV where Jessica and her two friends, Ken Paves(hair stylist) and Cacee travel across countries to find out their beauty culture.

I stumbled upon this episode where they were in Uganda and what a culture shock it was for them and for me! People in Uganda like women who are FAT! Women there actually make themselves fat and if they're not too fat, they wear clothes which makes them fatter- like loose cloths and extra materials!

This is the first time I've heard of women wanting to get fat. I'm actually quite shocked because from where we're living, everyone wants to be THIN. People wear corsets, skinny jeans, tight fitting clothes just to be thin. While we starve to be thin, they eat to be fat!

The above picture is when Jessica and her friend, Cacee visited the bride-to be(on the right) in a 'fattening hut'. I'm not even kidding! My jaw dropped when I heard that every bride-to-be has to be in a fattening hut for 2 months to get fat so that they'll be beautiful on their wedding day. During the wedding, her husband gave a speech and he said that when he saw her for the first time, she was 'as fat as a cow and was so beautiful!' Give that speech here and you'll get a slap on the face LOL

Wow! It's a whole new world in Uganda! Here we are hearing about a model who recently died due to the effects of anorexia and starving herself till she was only left with skin and bones literally and in Uganda, they WANT to be fat to be beautiful. It's like 2 extreme ends!

It's actually what culture you're born in and how that influence you to think what's beautiful. Yes, I or you may watch that episode and know that Ugandans' version of beauty is being fat. But if we put on a few pounds, what others will think? Will they say we're beautiful? And what if those Ugandan women lost a few pounds? Will their society regard them as beautiful?

It is very true when they say, 'Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder'. One may think you're beautiful while another may not agree. The word 'beautiful' is very subjective....So, the best way is to please yourself. If you think you're beautiful, that's more than enough!!

Miserable. Dilemma. Pain.

What happened to me? This is what happened to me!

My OWN dog bitten my feet!
You might be thinking that I scolded him, kicked him or did anything to him.
No, you are wrong! I did nothing but wanted to wear my slipper. =.=

I felt heartache and my feet can't even reach the floor.
For now, I only can eat certain food!
I only can HOOP around instead of walking like normal.

I have adopted this dog for 8 years and this is the first time he bitten me so seriously.
Even a dog can bites its own owner, what's not possible?

For few nights straight, I have this same nightmare of the scene of my dog bites me.
Because of this incident, I started to have phobia towards medium-sized dogs and large-sized dogs.

I am positive thinking enough.
I cried because I felt the pain.
I didn't blame my luck or my fate or my life.
I will bare with this because this is part of my life.
