Vintage Jeans and 10K Dreams

That's my life right now. I've recently been inspired by a few awesome gals who enjoy running Dominique, who happens to be training for a marathon and Barbie Run and I've been thinking about running some kind of race for fun. I'm by no means a runner and have no delusions of grandeur so I'm not planning on running a marathon anytime soon but I thought the Cowtown 10K might be a good place to start. According to my calculations, that's around 6.2 miles right? I think I could do that. It's in Feb so that gives me a little while to train for it. I do run on the treadmill throughout the week but I kind of run/walk and I'd like to just run the whole time and work on improving my time; either way I think it's a good goal and I'm excited about it! Then maybe one day I can actually do a half marathon and then a full marathon. We won't even talk about the ultra marathon yet, HA!

Now that we've got the running talk out of the way it's time to get down to business, AKA FASHION!! I've been on a hunt for Vintage Levi's for a while now See Here and I've finally found 3 pairs that are awesome. They range in price from 29-103 and of course my favorite pair is the one that happens to be 103!! I'm not exactly sure if it's worth it but I'm leaning towards yes it is. I mean they're vintage jeans people!!!! What do yall think; would yall pay 103 dollars for pants? I pretty much live for anything vintage and have for quite some time now. It's odd but usually things I love end up becoming "trends". Example, I was rocking moccasins and cowboy boots with dresses when I was like 18-19 and then a couple of years later it was "in style". I sometimes find it incredibly annoying, mainly because I don't think you should dress a certain way just because it's trendy but whatever creams your Twinkie!

So as I mentioned yesterday I have recently become a fan of Shayne Dahl Lamas Richie. She was on the Bachelor but I didn't watch. I did watch her E! show and thought she was cute but ever since she married Nik Richie in Vegas I've become a huge fan of her style. I really enjoy people that wear whatever the hell they feel like and actually have a great sense of style. I am a firm believer that you are born with style and if you aren't born with it then you can usually get by OK in life by reading magazines, having stylists, following trends etc...but it's just not the same as being born with an amazing sense of style. Think Mary Kate Olsen, Audrey Hepburn, Nicole Richie, Blake Lively, Jackie O, and now I'm adding Shayne Lamas. So because I love to add pics to a post I've decide to do a picture post to her because I think she's fabulous!
