Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Transformers definitely did NOT dissapoint =) It did live up to its hype...
It was full of action and suspense, funny, and definitely a lot of eye candies *laughs*

Michael Bay sure know how to pick his actors. For a girl, seeing Josh Duhamel and Patrick Dempsey in one movie surely makes me very very happy HAHA
For the guys, Rosie Huntington was a good eye candy. She was sultry and sexy. However, for some reason, I still preferred Megan Fox XD

The main cast of Transformers

I saw the trilogy and I think I preferred the third installment to the second. Only because I felt the second one focused to much on the fights between the autobots and decepticons. 

This one however, I think, Michael Bay corrected his mistake and there was a good proportion of the fights, interaction with the humans and kick ass actions!!

Altogether, it was a great movie but probably a bit of an expected storyline...

Hence, I'll rate it 4 stars =)

Do catch this blockbuster movie of this year!

1. When did all the young boys get so hot?
2. While listening to old school Shania Twain I decided that something about Miley Cyrus that reminds me of her.


3. Why does The Bachelor/Bachelorette show still come on?!?!?
4. I find it odd that after years of people giving Jennifer Aniston a pity party about the Brad and Angie thing she's done the SAME THING to Justin Theroux's ex gf.
5. Selena Gomez has grown up and is such a pretty little thing now! I love that she's got her shit together.

6. I really, REALLY, need to get myself into a gym! I believe I've worked out 3 times this month. I've just been lazy and working 10 hour days is brutal. I'm going to force myself to get back into things next week. FOR SURE!
7. I'm seriously considering getting into the paralegal field. All the research and proposal drafting really appeals to me. The money is also nice.
8. I love my new car!
9. The only time I really want a boyfriend is when the check comes at dinner. I think this means I need to stay single.
10. I feel like a LV purse is a requirement to hang out in certain parts of Dallas. I need one.

Dr skincare brands

Nowadays, I've been seeing many brands with a 'Dr' initial. These skincare products were created by Dr. so and so and they got it patented and then it's being sold at certain stores.
Gone were the days where chemists create the products for brands such as the likes of L'OREAL, Maybelline, SK-II and so on...Now, the trend is that whoever created the product gets their name on it *laughs*

So far, I've seen Dr.Murad, Dr.Young, Dr.Wu, Dr.G, Dr. Perricone, Dr.Brandt and some that I cannot remember -.-

I think the most famous is Dr.Murad. This is the first skincare brand I've heard with the initial 'Dr'.

Dr.Murad is available at all CN Health and Beauty centres. I went for facial at CN and the beautician only used Dr.Murad products. I find that all Murad products have very therapeutic scent. So, it made my facial very relaxed =) I especially loved the lip moisturiser, it has like a Vitamin C taste to it, made me feel like eating it *laughs*

I knew Dr.Young, Dr.Wu and Dr.G brands from SaSa stores. They carry these brands and it's quite popular among customers it seems.

Dr Young is quite famous for its Pore Eraser Balm.

 It is tinted so you can use it even without makeup during the day and through some reviews, it seems to be quite a good product. I, however have not tried it. I only have a face mask from this brand..

 

I have yet to try the mask because I have many other masks as well LOL But when I do, I may do a review on it =))

Dr.Wu is newly launched here. This brand is Taiwan's No.1 medical skincare.brand!
I have actually won the Intensive Hydrating Trial Pack from SaSa and have yet to collect my prize.

Again, when I use it later on, I'll review it =)

Dr.G is famous for its BB Cream...

It retails for RM95 for 60ml. For people with oily to combination skin, this is highly recommended by the salesperson. I think I may try this brand when my current BB cream finishes.

I was not familiar with Dr.Perricone MD until it launched it's newest product: Acyl-Glutathione

This product is to reduce skin aging and and creases. Erm..I'm not that old yet, so I don't think I'll be trying this in the nearest future *laughs*

Lastly, I just found out about Dr.Brandt when I was in Gardens, MidValley today. Gardens will be opening a store carrying Dr.Brandt I guess..

Oh well, so many brands with the 'Dr' initial are blooming up these days.
On top of all the current brands, now, there are just too many to choose which is the best for our skin XD

What's Really Going On True Blood?

Yeah, that's me and Jason Stackhouse. I know you're jelly! :D )


Where to begin?! WHERE TO BEGIN!?!?! Sighhhhhh I really need to stop reading books! Yes, I actually said that. Why you ask? Because I read too many books that then get turned into TV shows or movies. In the last 6 months I have read 5 books that are now being filmed for TV shows and movies. Sometimes this is good and sometimes this is bad. In the case of The Sookie Stackhouse novels and True Blood this is bad.



I discovered these books through my roommate and read the fist 5 before I even knew it was being turned into a show on HBO. I had high hopes for the show because HBO rarely gets it wrong and the first season was pretty great. By great I mean, it stayed true to the books and I liked that. The second season also stayed pretty true to the books with a couple of things from book 3 and 4 sprinkled in but it still worked. Now it appears that there's a free for all and they aren't following the books at ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is madness. Yes, I realize that sometimes people don't want to follow books scene by scene but when you are just blatantly adding characters or making up things that have nothing to do with the basic plot of the story I have a problem.



Here's the thing, when you're dealing with a series of books you kind of have to follow the books because things happen in an order and they happen for a reason. Sookie hanging out for a year in fairyland during this season premiere makes NO DAMN SENSE this early in the show. LET ME REPEAT THAT, NO DAMN SENSE! And yes I'm sure the fans of the show think it makes perfect sense and loved the premiere but for anyone who has actually read the books you know better. There are things that need to happen that haven't happened yet that are crucial to the characters and their development throughout the series.

The easiest way to describe it is to imagine The Harry Potter series, I've never read it, but I get the gist. Things happen in each book and those things help shape what happens in the last book. So imagine that they just randomly made the first movie with stuff from book 4 or perhaps they just threw in a couple random characters for fun. It doesn't work! If you are going to base a show on a book then follow the damn books!



Needless to say I was disappointed by this premiere episode. I thought it was basically nonsense and filled with a lot of fluff. I mean Sookie has been in fairyland for a year? Really? REALLY?!?!!?!?!? Andy is hooked on V? Really?!?!?!?!? Tara has run off to New Orleans and become a lesbian?!?!!? And BILL IS NOW KING!?!?!?!?!?!??!??!??! REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?! I mean what the hell is really going on!?!?!? It's just stupid. Stupid!!!! I will say that the 2nd episode was better (if you have HBO on demand the 2nd episode is up already) but I'm still disappointed. I suppose I'm just going to have to try and disconnect my feelings about the book and the show and take it for what it is. That being said, expect more rants in the future!



In an effort to not be completely negative here are some of the things I liked about the show.
1. Tara got new weave! I was so happy those braids are gone! So happy!!!!
2. Jason got kidnapped! Now this may not seem like a good thing but this is the beginning of some great things for his character!
3. We are FINALLY setting up Sookie and Eric love...I think! It isn't the way they did it in the book but it definitely seems that this is the direction it's going in! Eric and Sookie's love makes me so freaking happy and it starts in book 4 so hopefully.
4. Did I mention Tara got new weave?
5. This whole evil baby situation is kind of hilarious.

So I guess we shall see what happens. We shall see... Oh and one last thing, Bill as King!?!?!?!? REALLY!?!??!!??! Yeah, it shall take me a minute to get over that one.

Well, in Malaysia, everyday is summer *laughs* But nowadays, it's getting hotter XD

I'm doing articles for Examiner! It's just a super fun, casual, way to practice my writing skills and get my writing out there more. So spread the word please! I'm handling Dallas area nightlife for now but if people respond to it then I will have a chance to cover more areas!




Rick Perry for President

The possibility that Rick Perry could get the Republican ticket and maybe even become POTUS scares the crap out of me! I couldn't care less (yes, it's couldn't not could) about him being a Republican. The thing that scares me about him is that he doesn't care about education at all. Texas ranks 43rd out of 50 states as far as high school graduation. You would think this would be a probably but not to good ole Rick! In fact, he then took 4 billion dollars from the education budget (when we had over 10 million in the rainy day fund) and used it to build a highway. I think his priorities are skewed. We may have a good economy but knowledge is power people. I see students every day that are NOT prepared for college. I shudder to think of what could happen if he actually gets in The White House.




I Need a Girls Night Out!

I seriously need to get dressed up and go out! I just want to get dressed up in something fancy and then go out and have a good time. I need this! This shall be my mission for the weekend!
