The Makings of a Fabulous Weekend

In case you were wondering, the makings of a fabulous weekend include a nice boy + bellinis + 5 days off work + good friends + Mavs beating the heat + good food!

I think I need a vacation to recover from my long weekend. I had a lovely 5 days off and spent the weekend doing nothing but eating, drinking, and lounging around Dallas. It was kind of amazing. I got to experience a couple of things in Dallas that I hadn't before and I enjoyed it. One of the things I like about people coming to visit is the fact that you get to experience your city kind of like a tourist and that's always fun!


Friday



I enjoyed a lovely Happy Hour at Kona with my roomie and patiently awaited the arrival of one of my favorite people! Once he arrived my roommate and I took him to Angry dog to partake in some DELICIOUS burgers! If you've never been to Angry Dog I suggest you make it a part of any Dallas trip you go on.


Saturday

Saturday was the wedding and it was BEAUTIFUL! The bride was actually the first person I would consider to be a good friend of mine whose wedding I've attended. It was such a beautiful location and ceremony. She looked amazing and the reception was quite a good time. She had a table full of candy and a photo booth and the DJ was GREAT!!! Also, note to future brides, have a smaller wedding and provide an open bar, your guests will appreciate it! I loved that her wedding wasn't too small but also wasn't too huge and yes; I did appreciate the open bar! Haha.

Sunday


Sunday belonged to Lemon Bar where I enjoyed bottomless bellinis and chicken and waffles!! YUMMMMM!! I must say that a friend told me "nothing good can come from bottomless anything" and I think he's right. After an entire day (2-9) of drinking there was a bit of drama but I'd like to think that's settled now. Aside from all that nonsense Lemon Bar was DELICIOUS! You don't understand how long I've been dying for some good chicken and waffles and they did not disappoint!




Monday and Tuesday consisted of shoving our faces with food! This included a lovely meal cooked for me by my guest. :D and generally lounging around Dallas and my apt being lazy. The weather was perfect for my weekend plans and I couldn't have asked for a better long weekend!



This plate sums up my food consumption this weekend! Don't even wanna think about the calories!


All and all it was a good weekend! I must say that coming to work today was kind of brutal but thanks to summer hours I only have to make it through today and tomorrow so I think I'll be OK! I hope everyone else is had a lovely weekend and is having a good week! Oh and also, GO MAVS!!!
