I don't know where this book has been all my life but I definitely need to own it. I checked it out of the library after hearing that Emma Watson was going to be in the movie. I thought the premise of the movie sounded interesting and as always, when I find out something is based on a book I read the book. I AM SO GLAD I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!
The book centers around Charlie's first year of high school and you get to know him and his life based off letters he is writing to an anonymous person. It was such an interesting way to write a book and it was executed brilliantly. I feel that Charlie is one of those literary characters that really speaks to the reader. I think that ANYONE could relate to many of the feelings that Charlie felt throughout the book. The fact that I'm 26 & was able to relate to the perspective of a 15 year old speaks volumes about how well the book was written. It is now in my top 3 books and I can't wait for the movie! If you haven't read it go buy it now!!!
