"The Last Star"

Liz and Rock Hudson

So by now you've all heard Elizabeth Taylor has died. I got on Yahoo this morning and this was the first story and I literally yelled out "NOOOOOOOOOO!" so yes, I'm sad. I get that she was old and lived a long full life but it definitely gave me a case of the sads. Elizabeth Taylor is the last great screen icon from a time when being famous meant something. It was less about who you were screwing, who you were wearing, or who was a bigger trainwreck and more about real talent, grace, and elegance. The women and men of that time were simply glamorous and made going to the movies a true event for people.

So to celebrate the life of a true icon and to celebrate a time when movie stars were actually MOVIE STARS I've decided to do this post. A post dedicated to true old Hollywood glam and the fabulous women and men that made it what it was. I'm not going to label each picture but the post contains all the greats. Rock Hudson, Clark Gable, Ava Gardner, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Marlene Dietrich, Rita Hayworth, Paul Newman, Veronica Lake, and of course Elizabeth Taylor. I hope yall enjoy and RIP Dame Elizabeth Taylor, thanks for being your perfectly fabulous self.
