Really? REALLY!?!

It's rant time again! I have been keeping my mouth shut on a couple of topics but things are really starting to get out of hand now.

Why is Rick Perry trying to run for POTUS? Can someone explain this to me please? Sit me down and explain it like I'm dumb. I'm not sure the Republicans even want him to run, yet, he's running. Here's the thing, Texas has a pretty great economy considering the state of the US and no one is arguing that he isn't good at some things but the man is insane. That quote up above pretty much sums him up. He had a prayer gathering last weekend to save the nation. Really? Really!?!?!??!? The man is unstable. He's super religious and wants to infuse every part of the government with religion. Also, let us not forget that the man cut a couple billion dollars from education in TX because he wanted to build roads. Never mind the fact that he had a rainy day fund he could have used for such trivial things. Never mind the fact that TX ranks around 46 or 48 out of the 50 states in high school graduation rates. Who cares about education when you have money and Jesus!!!







Let's blame Obama for everything!





The downfall of society is not placed on one man's shoulders. Sorry folks, I know this is news to you. If you seriously think the pres is making every single decision you may need to go back to elementary school government class. That's not how things work people. Also, let's not talk about what Obama inherited when he got into office. Things weren't really that great to begin with and they certainly weren't going to become all sunshine and roses in a couple of years. That being said, I voted for Barack because I honestly believed in what he was saying (I'm not one of those I only vote Democrat or Republican folks) and he has seriously disappointed me in some areas. I'm sick of all the talk and would like more action but at the same time, every thing that happens isn't his fault. I've taken to blaming Rick Perry for everything now; I think this evens the score. Haha!







Pippa Madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!





While randomly surfing the channels on my TV I noticed an all about Pippa special on TLC. In the same sentence that called Pippa a style icon who single-handedly crashed Twitter and a girl with a great hour glass figure. Ummmmm REALLY!?!?!?!?!??!? 1. She didn't crash Twitter, if anything the entire royal spectacle causing people to tweet every second slowed it down, that's it. 2. She's a twig; there is no hour glass figure. 3. A summer dress, a nice bag, and ballet flats do not, a style icon make.







What exactly does rioting solve?





A friend of mine gave a brilliant explanation to the rioting in London, see below.





However, let's put this UK thing in context. You have a bunch of downtrodden, pissed off, hungry youth who are constantly being bullied by the police. A powder keg ready to blow in a country that has a stronger penchant for civil disobedience than the US ever had. You have an authoritarian conservative government cutting social services and blaming the darkies, Islanders, rag heads, and other social deviants for what's wrong. As these people get deeper into the gutter, the powers that be get fatter and wealthier.



Now take that scene of troubled, frustrated, pissed off, pent up people with nothing better to do, then light a fuse causing them to explode, and you end up with riots. "Factors include high poverty and unemployment, the growing gap between rich and poor, and the lowest social mobility in the developed world."



Egging them on are the phantoms in the background whose only purpose is to watch everything burn. They are prime instigators and the fear, anger, and adrenaline does the rest. People are not rational under those conditions. The huge riots during the Seattle WTO gathering at the turn of the millennium began peacefully, but the violence, destruction, and looting was begun by a mere 25 or so Anarchists. It took that few to light the fuse of thousands who were there peacefully. Imagine that force being applied to already pissed off people in the ghetto.



My dear, there is no logic in rage.





I suppose the simplest answer is "there is no logic in rage" but I still don't get it. I mean how does destroying your own city help you accomplish anything? I just can't wrap my head around it. I would be the person looking at everyone act a fool and asking them what the hell they were hoping to accomplish by doing this.







We're on our 46th day of 100+ temps. I don't mean around 100-103 I mean 108-110. Yeah, it sucks. Really TX, Really!?!??! I'm so over it! I knew this was coming but there isn't really a way to prepare for that kind of intense heat. I'm over it. I'm also over people talking to me about how they are up north when the temps are in the 80s and 90s. Bitch please!







So the new Harold and Kumar movie shall be in 3-D. Let us ignore the fact that they're even making another one of those idiotic movies and focus on the fact that it shall be in 3-D. Really?!?!?!!??! Why does every, SINGLE, movie that comes out need to be in freaking 3-D? Some movies are better with it (Avatar) but some are not (every other movie that's been in 3-D in the last 2 years). I'm over this trend. I think studios just do it so they can charge more for tickets.
