So this weekend my friends and I are going to Teddy's Room in Dallas. I'm very excited to see a real live burlesque show! I've never seen one before and I think it should be fun. I ventured out when I first moved to Dallas to see a show but it was more like 3 girls half naked in a poorly choreographed dance in the middle of a bar. It was not up to my standards! Needless to say I'm pretty excited about venturing out to a place that has such a good reputation. I'm trying to dig up some inspiration for an outfit and so far I'm leaning towards this dress...
It's just a vintage dress I bought a year and a half ago and I love how I feel every time I wear it. It's so Jackie O. I kind of want to go with a vintage theme of dress instead of more burlesque.
So since I'm getting ready to head out there this weekend I'm looking for some inspiration for the night. I have a lot of vintage clothing but none is very burlesque-ish and one could argue that's a good thing! I'm searching through pics to find anything to inspire my dress, hair, makeup for the night though. We'll leave the half naked burlesque clothing to the experts on stage though.
Of course when I think burlesque I think of Dita Von Teese because she's basically the queen of it. I'm so excited for her beauty book to come out. She's one of very few people whose beauty books I would like to read. Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend and seeing what fun outfit I can throw together! It's also a 3 day weekend so I'm uber excited! Hope yall have an amazing weekend too!
